Barry thanks. After 15 years in publishing I didn’t know where to begin. It’s crazy because I’m constantly giving people career advice. Now I’m enjoying the exploration and interview process way too much. It’s a shame I’ll actually have to get a job. Thanks again for the swift realignment I clearly needed.
I knew I was in trouble when you started asking me questions I couldn’t answer. Thanks for your patience, persistence (hammering me!) and helpful insights. I would have preferred it not take me 4 months to find my new gig, I’m infinitely happier. Barry, good show.
Barry, I never imagined I’d be happier earning less and working harder but it’s true. Moving from the corporate world into a mission-driven organization has been revelatory for me, in so many ways. Thanks for leading me to where I needed to be. I’ve already told all my friends about our work together, so get ready.
Seriously, I’m earning more, working less and have never been happier. Not sure how long it will last, but this was definitely the right move for me. Thanks a bunch, Barry, you’re super cool and the direction you gave me was spot on. Cheers!
These are my recent articles where I talk about career advice, interview tips, and job searching.
After 3 decades of working with all kinds of people with all kinds of experience in all kinds of industries, I have a lot to say. And while confidentiality is the lifeblood of my work, I’ll happily share stories, anecdotes and observations that will inform, educate and amuse. And I’d love to hear what you think.
